The Flow of God’s Grace

The Flow of God’s Grace

Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. —Romans 5:20

A few years ago after a very heavy rainstorm, we had several inches of standing water at the entrance of our church driveway. The water normally would flow through a culvert under the driveway, but some debris was blocking the flow of the water to the culvert. I took a shovel and cleared a passageway for the water to flow down to the culvert and that solved the problem because water always flows down hill to the lowest possible level.

The same is true concerning the grace of God. His grace is available to everyone, but it needs an opening in which to flow. When we open up a passageway for God, His marvelous grace flows down to the lowest possible point.

I’ve seen God’s grace flow down to the lowest of level of sinners… murderers… sex offenders… thieves… drug addicts… etc. All we need to do is open a path for His grace to flow down to them. Do you know of someone in need of the grace of God? What debris is blocking the way. Is there something you can do to open up a passage for God’s grace to reach them?
