THE “LILY” BAPTISTS

“We are labourers together with God” —1 Corinthians 3:9

A Baptist church member was asked, “What kind of Baptist are you? A Southern Baptist? A Regular Baptist? An Independent Baptist?”  The church member replied, “I’m a ‘Lily Baptist’.”  A bit confused, the other said, “I’ve never heard of a ‘Lily Baptist.’ What kind of Baptist is that?”  The church member answered, “Oh, you’ve heard of the ‘Lily Baptists.’ Jesus mentioned them in Matthew 6:28 when He said, “They toil not, neither do they spin.” 

Don’t be a “Lily Baptist” who neither toils nor spins.  Be a working Baptist and get busy laboring for Christ for your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Cor. 15:58).
