Wholehearted Trust
Wholehearted Trust
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. — Proverbs 3:5
You are either trusting in the Lord, or your are trusting in yourself. God wants you to trust in Him “with ALL thine heart,” not a trust that is divided between your understanding and what He says in His Word.
The basic idea behind this kind of trust it is not an intellectual belief. It is an attitude of feeling safe and secure in His care—being confident to the point of being free from worry, fear, and toxic anxiety.
Don’t trust the Lord with just some of your heart. That will only tap into some of His peace. Abide in total trust. As we sing…
‘Tis so sweet to TRUST in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord.”
