A Child Shall Lead Them

And a little child shall lead them. —Isaiah 11:6

I understand the text above applies doctrinally to the Kingdom Age.  But I believe there is a devotion lesson of how children also lead some adults in their child-like faith and generosity.

Here is an example of a child who is way ahead of many adults in the matter of sacrificial giving:  Last week a Grandma in our church shared a blessing with me about one of her Grandsons who comes with her to church. (He attends of Junior Church). He just got straight “A’s” on his report card and received an Academic Achievement award at his school!  His Dad rewarded him with $11.00!

After church last Sunday his Grandma asked him if he wanted to put the $11.00 in his savings jar she keeps for him at her house.  He told her he didn’t have the money anymore because he gave it to Jesus for his Christmas offering.

What a blessing that this young grandson loves the Lord so much he would give his entire reward money to Jesus for Christmas.  How does your giving measure up to the generosity of this lad?
