“NOT NOW…”
What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. —John 13:7
God, in His infinite wisdom, sometimes chooses to leave us in the dark about certain things. We go through dark patches in life we cannot understand. We wonder, “What is God up to? This doesn’t make sense. Why is He letting this happen to me?” There will be times where we may feel like Job, “I would know the words which he would answer me, and understand what he would say unto me… Behold I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him” (Job 23:5, 8).
It really doesn’t matter that we understand the answer now. The thing that matters is knowing that God knows what He is doing. Job came to realize, “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10).
Some chapters of our life are to be experienced now and understood hereafter. God marks across some of our days, “Will explain later.”
We’ll understand it better, by-and-by.
