And The Mule Walked On

“…and the mule that was under him went away.” —2 Samuel 18:9

Lester Roloff used to preach a message about the slaying of Absalom from 2 Samuel 18:9.  He would preach, “Absalom rode the mule of sin and it came up under an oak tree and that long hair of his got hung up in the brush… and the mule walked on!  That’s the mule of sin!  Ain’t nobody rode the mule of sin without gettin’ hurt. It’ll let you ride it until it hangs you, then it will leave you hanging out to die! Best thing to do is get off before you git hung!”

Better still, don’t get on that mule in the first place!
