Rolling Away the Stone

“Who shall roll away the stone from the door… for it was very great” —Mark 16:3-4

The women who approached Christ’s tomb were perplexed about the heavy stone that blocked to door of the sepulcher.  How often have I wondered the same thing when I contemplate a difficult problem looming on my horizon.  Some great obstacle blocks my pathway and I have not the power to move it.

Then, when I finally reach that point, I find God has already rolled the obstacle away!  I’ve seen God do this numerous times. Oh what needless worry it would save me if I would learn from God’s workings in the past!

“Lord, help me not to be confounded about that new stone that confronts my path, when I know that no stone is so large You cannot roll it away as You’ve done so many times in the past!”
