BUSY… BUSY… BUSY !
It has been a very busy time for us the past six weeks in Jacksonville, FL. Besides preaching, Barb and I have been helping our friends Brian and Roberta Bennett make repairs on a couple of rental houses they are selling. I’ve installed hinges and hung 13 doors; grouted floor tile in two rooms; helped install a tile backsplash behind a kitchen sink; edged sidewalks, installed cabinet doors, installed new faucet fixtures in bathrooms and a kitchen, repaired broken slats in two fences, hung window shudders, nailed on quarter rounds and caulked baseboards, mounted four large television monitors, and several other odd jobs. Barb has also been helping Roberta painting. Whew! After a day working with Brian, I can confirm the truth of Ecclesiastes 5:12—“The sleep of a labouring man is sweet.” Amen to that! Barb and I have aching joints and muscles we didn’t realize we had!
Praise God, one of the houses we just finished sold this week! We are currently working on a another house we hope to have ready to sell by the end of this month.
It’s been a blessing doing some manual labor with Brian. It brings back memories of when we worked together on the building at Open Door Baptist in Lynnwood, WA over 40 years ago.
This weekend we will take a short trip back to North Augusta, South Carolina and attend Breezy Hill Baptist Church. Thanks for praying for us.

Thanks Alice. I know Jerry was a great help to me as we got our house in Port Orchard ready for sale. Could not have done it without our friends in Port Orchard. Friends help each other out. We are looking forward to seeing you and Jerry sometime in March when we arrive in Arizona. Continue to pray for us.
