Camped at Prayer Baptist (Westland, MI)
It’s hot and humid in lower Michigan. Temps are in the mid 80’s.
Barb and I are currently camped at Prayer Baptist Church in Westland, Michigan. I heard Evangelist Lester Roloff preach in this church while I was in Bible College (1973). Our good friends, Greg and Shirley McFadden are members here. The church recently called their son, Greg McFadden, Jr., to be their new pastor. Pray for him as he takes on the responsibility of getting people saved and ministering to the needs of this flock. I believe he will do a good job.
Last night we went out to dinner with our long-time friends, Wil and Georgia Bice. We’ve known them for over 48 years. Wil and Georgia served on staff at Open Door Baptist in Lynnwood during the late 1970’s and also pastored in Alaska for several years. We love them dearly.
Prayer Baptist has a weekly Saturday night men’s prayer meeting. I was so blessed to have the opportunity attend. It was encouraging to kneel at the altar with other faithful men as they prayed for the Lord to anoint the preaching and bless in Sunday’s services.

Hearing Lester Roloff back in the day – wow!
When Lester Roloff preached at this church, it was packed wall to wall with people. Roloff signed my Bible while he was here. Great preacher.
