Canyon Springs Baptist Church
Our New Church Home
Last Sunday (7/7/19) Barb and I joined Canyon Springs Baptist Church in Apache Junction, AZ (website: https://www.canyonspringsbaptist.com.) I’ve preached here several times since 2008. This good church is pastored by Andy Wirtz. I’ve known Brother Wirtz’s family for many years. He was a teenager while I was on staff at Open Door Baptist (Lynnwood, WA) during the mid-1980’s.
Pastor Wirtz is a wonderful pastor. He is KJV and knows how to “rightly divide” it. I am impressed by his sense of humor and his obvious love for his congregation. He has great people skills.
I am excited to see how the Lord will use us in the ministry of Canyon Springs Baptist in the days ahead. Right now I’m here to help Pastor Wirtz anyway I can. Currently Pastor Wirtz is out-of-town for about three weeks and I am “filling-in” for him at the pulpit. Later this fall I hope to organize the church’s outreach ministry. Please continue to pray for Barb and I as we continue to serve the Lord in whatever capacity He wants to use us. Although we are in Arizona, we thank God and love all our friends who are far away!
