Devil’s Tower Hike
Today (9/1/18) Barb and I hiked around the Devil’s Tower (about 1½ miles). The weather was perfect! The hike was paved, but the climb was difficult in a few places. The views were stunning. If you have never been to this national monument, you should put it on your bucket list. This geological formation is magnificent. It rates right up there with the Grand Canyon. Pictures do not do it justice. You just gotta see it in person. The ranger explained some theories about how the Devil’s Tower was formed. There are also some interesting folk tales attached to this mysterious phenomena. I’m looking forward to hearing God explain how He really made it!

Preacher and Barb…we just returned from a 7 day inside Passage Alaska cruise and I have to say that we saw some awesome scenery but these photos are very good and although I saw the tower when I was very young I have put it up near the top of my bucket list. Dewey
That is Beautiful and amazing! I am so happy that you are able to visit such wonderful creation of God!

We saw wall climbers… I’ll try to find a photo with them in it! – Gram
Our family took that same Ranger-led hike many years ago and had a great time. I was scary thinking of those who used to use wooden ladders to climb it. No way!
Those photos of Devils Tower are awesome. When we went there we did not take the time to do the hike as we were with a group of bikers on a mission to Sturgis South Dakota.
