Getting Settled in Arizona

Getting Settled in Arizona

After seven and a half months living in a 23’ Airstream, and traveling about 12,000 miles from West to East and North to South, Barb and I are ready to settle into a permanent “earthly” home.   We are buying a 1,280 square foot home in Florence, AZ. (See pictures below) It has three bedrooms, a two car garage with an epoxy coated floor, two bathrooms, and a covered patio almost the entire width of the house. [One of the bedrooms will be for guests who come to visit us!!!]  The house is located on E. Escape Avenue, in a nice neighborhood called “The Oasis at Magic Ranch.”

Once we receive the keys we will move our stuff out of our Airsteam and truck into our new house.  God has answered prayer and sent someone to buy our Airstream.  Ain’t God good!!!

Barb and I will be back in Washington on April 18.  We are looking forward to attending Bible Baptist in Port Orchard again.  Barb has a surgery scheduled and she’ll need some time to recover. We also have some personal business to take care of; a few preaching engagements; and we need to gather all our belongings out of storage. We will be moving back to Arizona “permanently” toward the end of June.

The last seven months have been a wonderful adventure for us.  We’ve reconnected with many old friends and made many new friends.  God has opened the door for me to preach / teach in several local churches along the way.  Barb went on a Caribbean cruise with our daughter Charity and attended a special water-painting class in Prescott, AZ. I helped my good friend Brian Bennett in Jacksonville remodel two houses he was selling. Praise the Lord. We are so blessed!

We aren’t exactly sure what the Lord has in store for us in the future.  We just want to be used of the Lord to serve Him with our remaining days on earth. Please continue to pray for us as we seek to follow the Lord.  [I hope to finish my“Insights In Isaiah” Bible study book this fall.  I taught the first 29 chapters at BBC before we left. I’m working on Isaiah chapter 46 now.]

We love you. God bless you.  Hope to see you soon—Here, there, or in the air!
