“God Told Me…”

“…whereas ye say, The Lord saith… albeit I have not spoken?” —Ezekiel 13:7

You cannot help someone who claims to have “private information from God.” I’ve learned once someone says, “God told me…” you might as well walk away. You cannot help someone who says “God told me.”

One time a person came into my office and said, “God told me I need to sell my house and move.” I simply answered, “OK.” He said, “What do you think?” I told him, “It doesn’t matter what I think if God told you to do something! If God told you sell your house and move, who am I to argue with God? I’d be the last person to interrupt anything God said. God is a whole lot smarter than I am.”

When a person says, “God told me…” that’s the end of the conversation. That person believes he has “an inside track with God” that you don’t have. Don’t waste your time with him.
