God Uses Men
“I have surely seen the affliction of my people… therefore, I will send thee.” — Exodus 3:1, 14
God is ready to send an answer the affliction of the His people in Egypt. And what is God’s answer? He sends Moses. Sort of a let down! Couldn’t God have sent the arch angel Michael or any other angel to do the job? No, God sends Moses… How anti-climatic to a bold beginning.
Yet, this is the way of the Lord. His ways are higher than our ways (Isa. 55:8-9). He has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty, that no flesh can glory in his presence (1 Cor. 1:27-29). God works through men to get His work done. As John H. Jowett said, God “pours His strength into a worm, and it becomes ‘an instrument with teeth.’ He stiffens a frail reed and it becomes as an iron pillar.”
If God could use a Moses, He can use you too, if you will yield to Him.
