It All Adds Up!

“The word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.” —Isaiah 28:13

I recently read that if Coca-Cola raised the price of a case of Coke by just one penny, it would net the company an additional $45 million dollars a year. If Crispy Kreme increased the cost of each donut by one-cent, the company’s profits would increase by $27 million!

What a great lesson for Christians. We look at what seems like any insignificant increase in what we do for the Lord as not amounting to much.  For example, increasing your Bible reading by one chapter a day.  But over a year’s time, the accumulative effect of those additional chapters would pay-off in big spiritual dividends!  Or, if every church member would give only one more dollar to the Lord’s work each week, how much more could be done for the cause of Christ?  Or, what do you suppose would happen if every Christian passed out just one Gospel tract a day—How many more souls would be won to Christ? Only the Lord knows!
