Jesus of Nazareth
Jesus of Nazareth
Who art thou, Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth. —Acts 22:8
Jesus was referred to as “Jesus of Nazareth,” but never “Jesus of Bethlehem” or “Jesus of Jerusalem.”
Nathaniel asked, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Since then, Nazareth has been considered special because of its association with Jesus Christ. Whatever Jesus identifies Himself with becomes special, no matter how small and infamous it may be in the sight of men. Palestine is called the Holy Land. Why? Because Jesus walked there.
A sinner may also become holy when he comes into contact with Jesus. If Nazareth lost its bad reputation through the Name of Jesus, so may you and I.
