Song of Solomon 2:1-2—“I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.”

Lilies were engraved within Solomon’s Temple. They were also used on the altar of brass. 2 Chronicles 4:5— “And the thickness of it was an handbreadth, and the brim of it like the work of the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies.”
