LOVE… FEAR… PLEASE
What doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul. —Deuteronomy 10:12
What you love… what you fear… and who you seek to please will reveal a great deal about the kind of person you are. The Bible says, “Love not the world…” (1 John 2:15). We should love God, the Word of God, the work of God, and the family of God. We are told to not fear man, but to fear God alone (Mt. 10:28). We are put on earth to please God and not to please ourselves (Rev. 4:11; Rom. 15:1).
What do you love?
What are you afraid of?
Who are you aiming to please?
How you answer these heart searching questions will tell you much about your own personal relationship with God. May the answer to all three questions be GOD.
