Steering
“…I being in the way, the Lord led me…” —Genesis 24:27
God cannot lead you if you are not moving. God leads those who are “in the way.”
Have you ever tried to turn the steering wheel of a car when it is stopped? When is it easiest to steer a car? When it is moving. As long as a car is sitting still it is difficult to turn the steering wheel. But as it begins to move, steering becomes easier. The car may not be going in the right direction, but it’s direction can be turned once it gets moving, even if it is moving slowly.
The same is true in your spiritual life. As long as you refuse to move, you cannot be steered in the right direction. You need to get the gears of your life out of “park” and shift into “drive” for God to steer you. At first, you may being moving the wrong way, but God can steer you in the right direction once you start moving.
People wonder why their spiritual life is not going anywhere. Maybe it’s because you are sitting still. Get moving, even if it may be in the wrong direction. God will steer you right if you’ll start moving and let Him take the wheel.

Great word, brother Al. After I was saved I had a great desire to win the lost to Jesus, I was a Soul Winner. I wanted to preach God’s Word. I kept trying my best, and as I kept at it, the anointing grew stronger. In my case I had a saying, “GOD HAS NO PROBLEM HITTING A MOVING TARGET!”
Thank you Brother Combs. Keep on, keeping on!
