Who Can Dwell With God?

“Neither shall evil dwell with thee.” —Psalm 5:4

God is holy. God is righteous. God is separate from sinners (Heb. 7:26). Who will be able to dwell with such a God as this? David wondered the same thing—“Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart” (Ps. 24:3-4).

The only way anyone will be able to dwell with God is to be just as righteous as God is righteous, because no evil will dwell with Him! The only way you can be as righteous as God is to have the righteousness of Christ IMPUTED to you (2 Cor. 5:21). Thank God, this occurs when a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ!

Therefore, unless you’ve believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, you have no hope of dwelling in heaven with God.
