WHO KNOWS YOU ARE SAVED?

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW THAT YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE…” —1 John 5:13

Who knows if you are really saved? Your parents? Your husband? Your wife? Your preacher? In reality, there are only three persons who knows for sure if you are saved: You, God, and the devil.

Therefore, YOU cannot know for sure if anyone besides yourself is actually saved. You may think they are saved… hope they are saved… believe they are saved, but YOU cannot know beyond any doubt they are saved.

Someone says, “Well, he acts like he is saved, and professes to be saved.” That doesn’t mean anything. Jesus said, “Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven… Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? … and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you…” (see Mt. 7:21-23).
