Red Beds Trail (9/3/18)

Red Beds Trail (9/3/18)

Last night Barb and I saw some people climbing the tower after dark.  You could see their lights going up the tower.  They are brave or crazy!

This morning I hiked the Red Beds Trail (approx. 3 miles).  It took this 70 year old man about 1½ hours. It is the most strenuous trail at the Devil’s Tower. The trail was fairly intense in spots, but the views were worth the effort. Here are a few pictures I took along the trail.

Bluffs along the Red Beds, the formation from which the trail gets its name.
Part of the Red Beds Trail. Notice how narrow it is.

Climber (almost 1/4 from the top).
