Oh, Canada!

Oh, Canada!

Only the tops are colored this week.

Lynn wanted to take us to Canada, just so we could say we “crossed the line…” (She’s like that!) Since she lives in a farming area five miles from the border, she and I entered Canada through a small backroads crossing for locals… i.e. NO LINES.  (Al declined to go).

Five miles north means five miles closer to fall colors, but the colors are delayed this year from the draught. I managed to get a few decent color shots.

One of the quaint towns was Dunham, full of stone houses, churches and antiquities. The language was a mixture of French and English, and was delightful. We dined on Artesian bread and juice at the local bakery.

80? Oh, yeah, kmh

We parked across from a boutique and the porch decor drew us into a unique boutique glass shop.

We stopped to pose in the Queen of Hearts prop before heading in and admired the glass and fabric chair on the stoop. Inside the artist was working on her torch, making leaves (We each bought one.). I wish I could buy some of the wall art… oh, my! You can see more of her beautiful art online HERE.

Thanks, Lynn for the fall adventure! We had such a great time! (And… they let us back into the USA!)
